About Us

Our company, Tatár Pékség Kft. was incorporated in 1981, and began its activity as a small-scale operation, producing hot-baked goods. Recognising the development of the baking industry beyond the former Soviet Bloc, we were among the first to start producing quick-frozen baked goods in Hungary at the beginning of the 1990s. Prompted by our success with frozen baked goods, we discontinued the production of hot-baked goods, and switched to producing frozen foods exclusively. We developed our manufacturing, storage and transportation background and conditions accordingly.

Concurrently with the deployment of freezing technology, we also carried out the expansion of our product groups, broadening our offer with gastronomical pasta products (potato dumplings, dumpling balls, and pasta pockets).

Our array of partners also changed in line with the enlargement of our product assortment, and the number of our partners is increasing on a continuous basis. Initially we only delivered to operating bakeries, then we developed our own oven-placement program, and new resellers and open bakeries joined our ranks. We provide products from our gastronomical pasta offering to wholesalers, institutional cafeterias, restaurants, and hotels. As a result of retail packaging development, our products are now available to consumers in the frozen food section of multiple retail food store chains.

The recent past has been characterised by continuous growth and the ongoing development of our technology and logistics background, as the result of which our company is now one of the definitive players on the frozen pasta market in Hungary.

Our manufacturing facility is located in Halásztelek, adjacent to the M0 motorway. We manufacture, freeze, store and ship our products in compliance with the HACCP quality assurance system and in compliance with the stringent requirements of the ISO 22000, IFS and BRC standards, and GOST-R certification. Shipping and warehousing is performed within a closed refrigeration chain, using our own logistics system. Our delivery routes extend to the entire territory of Hungary, guaranteeing the uninterrupted supply of goods to our partners several times a week.

Our company puts great emphasis on post-sales activity. Accordingly, our regional sales representative staff works with nationwide coverage to ensure customer satisfaction.
